Laurinburg, NC: The Storytelling & Arts Center of the Southeast (SACS) in Laurinburg, NC, will present its fifth annual Bold-Faced Liars’ Showdown on Jan. 21, 2012, at its performance center, 131 South Main Street in downtown Laurinburg, NC. Storytellers, 16 years old and above, who have imaginative lies to share, are invited to enter the competition. Prizes will be awarded to the 3 finalists and certificates will be given to all competitors. There is also a People’s Choice Award. Winners will be announced at the evening show and the winners will have a chance to tell their lies again. Start now creating your tall tale so you can be a great competitor for the January competition. If you are not a teller of fibs, you still will not want to miss this fun-filled event. Adults and elementary age children will experience stories through the spoken word, music, and visual arts.
